Jay's Elongated Cents

Welcome, I’ve been a maker and crafter for years, constantly looking for new mediums to explore and projects to build. Elongated coins became the next piece of my growing list after a couple of inspiring community fairs and a deep dive into the mechanics of "penny squishers". Faced with the staggering cost of commercial machinery, I decided to do what any maker does: figure out how to do it myself. From cutting, polishing, and engraving custom steel dies to experimenting with manual rolling mills, every piece here is a testament to the trial, error, and joy of handcrafting. Explore the archive below to see the results of this quest and the coins I've created so far.
